ABOUT US

Hello Everyone,

Thank you all for inquiring about the Burnaby Beekeepers Association which was instituted in December 2015, as the first beekeepers association in Burnaby.

Our group is also a local branch of the BC Honey Producers Association (BCHPA), the provincial body of beekeepers; when you become a member of BCHPA you are also eligible for the group liability insurance covering everything to do with your apiary, and you receive an informative newsletter, plus the Canadian Honey Council magazines each year.

We welcome new members to network and share information on the beekeeping world. Membership is $20 per year effective January to December. We regularly hold meetings, usually the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, to be held at the North Burnaby Neighbourhood House, 4908 Hastings Street at Delta Avenue. There is parking at the back of the building from the lane.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Janice Bobic, President Burnaby Beekeepers Association
